10 Things You Need to Know about Volunteer Management in Association Management
Peggy Hoffman, CAE, is president of Mariner Management, an association management company providing full management services to small associations and counsel to global associations seeking to improve member communities and volunteer development. In this role, she serves as association manager for PRSA Maryland, as senior staff for three other associations which includes responsibilities for volunteer management.

Peggy will draw on her wide experience in working with and managing volunteers over the past thirty years. This includes day-to-day work with her volunteers, teaching and coaching volunteer leaders, and being involved in volunteer research including ASAE's groundbreaking Decision To Volunteer. She also draws on her own association volunteer experience having served on chapter and section council boards, project teams and in many ad-hoc roles. Peggy blogs at blog.marinermanagement.com and you can catch up with her on Twitter @peggyhoffman or on LinkedIn and Facebook - or on the triathlon trail.
