Why is my video/audio constantly buffering?

This can be caused by a slow internet connection. You will need a broadband connection with a minimum download speed of 10 mbps. Check your internet speeds at OpenSpeedTest.com. Close all other browser windows or programs and use an ethernet cord instead of WiFi whenever possible to ensure the best streaming experience.

Why do I hear an echo?

The most likely cause of an echo is having the webcast or webinar open in multiple browser windows or tabs. Please check your open browser windows for duplicate event streams running and close any extra windows/tabs.

Why does my browser need access to my microphone?

The technology used for webinar audio leverages your browser microphone permissions to broadcast the event audio. However, as an event attendee, your microphone will not be live to anyone, unless applicable to the event.

When you join a Freestone webinar for the first time, your browser will ask for access to your microphone. In order to hear the event audio, you will need to click Allow. If you hit block, you will be unable to hear the audio until you change permissions through your browser’s privacy settings. Click here to get browser-specific help.

How do I clear my cache?

If you are experiencing visual issues in the Viewer, you may want to clear your browser’s cache to ensure the most up-to-date Viewer is loading.

To clear your cache, press Control + F5 (PC) or Command + Shift + R (Mac) on your keyboard or review the instructions for your browser here.

Why aren't the PDF materials loading?

Errors can occur when trying to open large PDF files directly within the browser window. When this happens, we recommend downloading the materials to your computer. To download the PDF materials:

1. Right-click on the PDF button and select Save link as (Chrome/Firefox), Save target as (Internet Explorer), or Download Linked File As (Safari) from the menu that appears.
2. Choose a location to save the file on your computer.
3. The browser should indicate once the file has been downloaded and may provide a link to open the file. If not, navigate to the folder on your computer where the file was downloaded to open.
